Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer's Home
Useful Articles > Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer's Home (print this page )
I have encountered a few notices recently which have been provided to clients pursuant to The Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer's Home or Place of Work etc. Regulations 2008 which have not complied with Regulation 7(3)d (ii).
This Regulation requires the written notice of the right to cancel to contain a cancellation form provided as a detachable slip set out in the form prescribed by Part II of Schedule 4 of the Regulations.
Presumably this detachable slip would have to accompany the CFA and it might be a good idea to check that the notice of right to cancel which you are giving with CFAs caught by these regulations complies with that part.
If you would like a word about this, or indeed about any costs issues, please do not hesitate to contact me.
